Dear Students,

Gulf Coast Ballet presents the popular holiday ballet, The Nutcracker, every year. Along with the students of GCB, the public is invited to perform in this ballet.  Some rolls require previous dance experience, and some do not.  An audition will be held late August.  This is not the type of audition you see in the movies, but just an age appropriate dance class so the director can see each dancer’s behavior in a group setting, ability to learn movement, and height and size. The purpose is simply to decide where each dancer will best fit into the ballet.

The costumes for this production are provided by, and remain the property of the Gulf Coast Nutcracker. These costumes where purchased through a fund provided by Brett/Robinson Realty and Vacation Rentals, the Kennon family, the Salter family, and Gulf Coast Ballet. 

There is a performance fee of $65 paid by each dancer to make this production possible.  Scholarships are available for students who are unable to meet this fee.
